Richard Bullard became quite ill at college and had to drop out. He did not let this setback stop his desire to become an Army officer, however. After his recovery, he joined the Army, went to Officer's Candidate School, jump school, joined the 101st Airborne, Ranger school, went to flight school, Command and General Staff College and many other assignments. Richard flew Huey and Chinock helicopters in the Vietnam War as well as a number of "covert" operations in SE Asia and South America. His Army decorations and medals are many. Col. Bullard has fought for our freedoms and we are blessed for all his efforts. Thanks, Buddy, you are my hero.
