Adam D. Schmidt, Petty Officer 1st Class, USN (Augusta, Georgia) My son, is currently stationed at NSA in Augusta, Georgia, where he acts as one of the NSA's lead analysts, lead reporters, and subject matter experts for Operation Enduring Freedom. Adam is directly in charge of 5 people and indirectly in charge of 25. He has earned a Joint Meritorious Unit Award (from CJTF-76 in Afghanistan), a Joint Service Commendation Medal (from Afghanistan), and a Joint Service Achievement Medal (for supporting a large operation here at GA) among others. Adam is extremely passionate about what he does, and volunteered for a tour in Afghanistan for the opportunity to advance his knowledge in intelligence analysis and use the experience tactically. What he does on a daily basis he can never share with me, but I am confident that I owe my freedoms to him. I am very proud to him Adam as my son. (This picture was taken at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska.
