| Captain Michael "Travis" McCall (Reidsville, Georgia) Travis and I met in college and served as police officers together where he was my first training officer. It was during this time I first saw his integrity and professionalism. I try to model myself after his finest qualities, knowing deep down he is using Christ as his model. Travis is not perfect, but is one of the most loyal, honest, and respectful people I know. I have known him for almost fifteen years and have never heard him say a curse word. Travis is a true hero serving now as both a U.S. Border Patrol agent protecting us at home, and currently on leave to protect us abroad as a U.S. Army officer in Afghanistan. Travis has a Master's degree, a commercial pilot's license, one of the funniest senses of humor I have ever come across, and a die hard love of his family, friends, country, and a sincere devotion to God. If I had a son, I would want him to be just like Travis (a true testimony to Travis’ parents). It is my honor to know him as my friend. Thank you Thomas Nelson and First Redeemer Church for the opportunity to place this honor. Nominated By John & Jeannine Crowe |
